'Bout time there was an decent update from me...
So... erm. Yah! ^^;;;
I'm going to put my two cents in about the anime con... that was about a month ago. ^^;;;
Kumoricon 2004-
Day 1:
Ah, it was a bit awkward at first since Souls and I never been to an anime con before but I felt better when I saw others such as ourselves there. ^^ Over half the people were Naruto characters... O_O I swear... Anywho, the Pre-Reg line was pretty fast, a good plus, and the opening ceremony was fun! ^^ Bakazoku really made the convention. Heh. The 10 min preview for Ghost in the Shell made me interested in it and I want to see the first movie now. *Grins* After the ceremony, the two of us kind of ditched Soul's brother in the hotel and we learned that the place had bad cellphone reception. HehHeh. Anywho, I was dressed as dear Ed-kun from FMA the entire time. I saw one other Edward there on Sat. Unfortunately, I forgot to take my camera this day so I couldn't get pictures of all these great costumes. Especially of this one guy from Bakazoku who was dressed as Neko Kyo-kun! XD KAWAII! And I have to agree with the girl who said, "Is it legal for him to be that cute?" *Nods* Along that line, there was a boy cosplaying as a human Kyo. ^^ He even bought this Neko Kyo plushie! So Souls and I wandered around the place for a while checking a few things out and watching some animes while we were at it. We went to the dealer's room later on and found that nearly everything Kyo was sold out... >< Man is he popular. We bought some pins, because they were uber cute, and I bought the 4th volume of Fruba. It was cheaper! But I'm not surprised why. Its a con afterall. ^^ Oh yah, there's this girl who kept glomping me. For some reason we always seemed to bump into her. Glomped me three times this day. ^^ Had a few people take my picture as well... ^^;;;
Day 2:
Alright, onto day 2 of the con and it was pretty much the same except I brought my camera this day and took a few pictures. Oh another friend came along for the ride. ^^ I admit that I was still a little shy and I didn't ask as many people for a picture as I wanted to. Heh. Need to work on that. I don't really remember what we did this day but I do know that we kept going back to the dealer's room. ^^ The people who were selling the pins were gone today so it made me kind of glad that I bought the pins yesterday. The same girl that kept bumping into me was also dressed as Ed and she glomped me three times again. ^^;;; Oh, learned that the girl who kept glomping me was actually a friend of another friend of ours Ed is that name I believe she uses sometimes...
Day 3:
The last day of the con and I finally start getting used to the place. It felt as if it just started. Anywho, once again did the same old, same old but wandered around to a few new places as well. ^^ We went to this trivia thing where I knew possibly half the questions. I wasn't called upon to participate but it was fun trying to figure out what I did know about animes and mangas. More then I thought. ^^;;; *Whistles innocently* No, I'm not obsessed. What are you talking about? XD Went to the dealer's room to buy some last minute things. I got a Totoro keychain for a decent price. It was cheaper then before since it was the last day of the con. I was happy and content. The two of use wandered in the the ending of the AMV show and saw this really cool AMV with tons of anime characters dancing in their own cubicle. I wanna get that one! Oh, finally got glomped three times again by that girl. ^^ Never did find out her name... opps. ^^;;; Closing ceremony was fun and we got to see the winning AMV videos. The Trigun one was great. So was the Alphose (FMA) one. Heh.
Overall: The con was great overall. The space was a little hard to get around. The elevators seemed to take forever one the first day of the con but they got better by the next two days. There were times that there wasn't much to do but I'm not complaining too much since this was their second year. ^^ It was a fun experience for us since this was our first con and I definately want to come back next year. There's a plan for a cosplay group of us coming for the 2005 convention so watch out. ^_--
Sayonara for now!
Ayame: And... so goes my wonderful story.
Kyo: WHAT AN IDIOTIC STORY!!!
- Fruits Basket (Sorry, I couldn't help myself and put an Ayame thingy in. ^^;;;)
